Gracie Whiten-Student of the Month

Gracie Whiten Named Superintendent’s Student of the Month – February 2017

Our featured Student of the Month representing the month of February is an eighth grader from the Coastal Middle School. She is described as a student who has defied the odds with steady progress in and outside the classroom.

This student has shown significant progress on her SRIs. She’s won numerous awards for best effort including ELA, Georgia history, and math. With a strong will to succeed, she is currently making all As and Bs.

Every day, she serves as a School Nurse Assistant. Outside of school, she works as a Marshpoint Elementary School volunteer and she volunteers with her church Sunday School. Additionally, she assisted in her community with the Hurricane Matthew clean- up efforts. When discussing what motivates her, she says, “I want to show people that you can succeed even if you have delayed learning. I want to enlist in the Coast Guard to help our nation.”

We are proud to announce the Superintendent’s Student of the Month for February 2017 is Gracie Whiten! Congratulations to our student, her family, and the faculty and staff of Coastal Middle School!
